Happy Halloween!

But also Happy Birthday. It's that time of year again, Halloween and my daughter Simone's Birthday on Halloween. This year she'll be 23! How time flies. I always try to combine the two for her Birthday card.

I have seen a lot of Eclipse Cards lately and I love the look. So when I saw the technique challenge on the TGIF  Challenges blog I decided to try my hand at one and I combined my Gorgeous Halloween DSP with a Birthday stamp.

I started with die cutting the word HAPPY from the DSP. I was careful to keep the little inserts from the P's and the A.
I then die cut 5 HAPPY's from Basic Black Cardstock and glued them together with Tombo Multi Purpose Glue. You can also use Stampin' Dimensionals but I like the stacked Cardstock better. And it looks much better when you look at the word from the sides.

Paper Pumpkin!

Hi all, I was playing with my Paper Pumpkin Kit this weekend. I love it!

I always start with sorting out all the little bits and bobs that come with the kit. This kit had a lot of leaves.
I made the cards firsts, super easy to put together. To store or give away the cards I made a Pizza  Box with Cajun Craze cardstock. It's perfect for 4 cards and 4 envelopes. I used the left over leaves on top of the box.

Do you love Paper Pumpkin?

Stampin' Up! comes out with two coordinating Back-to-Back Paper Pumpkin Kits in October and November. Both Christmas Themed.
Isn't that awesome?
I can't wait for my kits to arrive.

Do you want these kit to come to your mailbox too?
Subscribe to Paper Pumpkin before October 10th.

It's Halloween!

Well, almost. But it is next month! But I want to be prepared so I made my first Halloween card today.
I used the Spooky Night Suite, the Stampset, the Punch and the DSP. I love the DSP, it's awesome.
The pumpkins on my card I cut from one of the sheets of DSP. I love it as an extra bit of detail behind my cat.

Rainbow Maker Card Class

I had a lot of fun making this card.
I'm following another awesome Online Card Class and this time it's all about making rainbows. I'm a bit behind with posting my card as we were going to switch providers last week but didn't with the result that we went offline for 4 days!! Thanks to unlimited data we did have contact with the outside world but coverage in our area is not too great and watching videos didn't work at all. So I had to binge watch all 6 days this week.

But here is my card.  I stamped a small Dragonfly with versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, it's subtle but it's there. I used a stencil and ink to make my rainbow.
